One Love Foundation: Flying Rescue Dogs to Their Furever Homes

We are excited to be part of the biggest freedom flight to date from Aruba to Miami. Grandma Lucy’s is once again partnering with One Love Foundation, Inc. on a very important mission.

On June 20, 2022, 28 adult dogs will board an Amarijet cargo plane to Miami, arranged by Sgt. Peppers Aruba, and finally get their chance at a happily ever after. Upon arrival in Miami, One Love Foundation will clear them through customs and bring them to the six waiting vans driven by Grandma Lucy's, One Love Foundation, Luna Foundation Aruba, Crijojo Trappers Aruba and United Dogs Aruba. We will document our journey as we road trip across 10 states in two days with 28 dogs in tow from Miami to Boston. Each dog will be delivered to their preassigned foster while they decompress and find their final home, or will be left in the open arms of their new family.

All of these dogs come from varying backgrounds of abuse, starvation, neglect, abandonment, and so on. In other words, they were all failed by humans in one capacity or another. Thanks to the angels running the rescues in Aruba, these pups were taken in, and given unconditional love and patience. They have spent countless hours teaching them to trust humans again. In true dog fashion, they have forgiven and have all evolved into sweet fun-loving dogs and are ready for their forever homes.
